For our client in the automotive engineering sector, we are looking for an experienced Group Leader Automotive Networks (m/f/d) to lead an international testing team focused on in-vehicle communication networks and distributed systems validation.

Your responsibilities

  • Technical and disciplinary leadership of an international team in Automotive Networks Testing & Validation
  • Responsibility for projects related to Ethernet-based in-vehicle networks and legacy bus systems (CAN, LIN, FlexRay)
  • Ensuring quality and on-time delivery of testing and validation activities for global OEM and Tier-1 projects
  • Close collaboration with system engineering, architecture, platform testing and security teams to ensure end-to-end communication integrity
  • Resource and capacity planning as well as skill development of the team
  • Coaching and mentoring team members in technical and methodological competencies
  • Support in proposal phases (RfI/RfQ) including effort estimation, technical concepts and team setup planning
  • Escalation management for technical and organizational challenges in customer projects
  • Ensuring compliance with quality standards, processes and KPIs in testing and validation

Your profile

Professional / Technical skills

  • Several years of experience in automotive networks, especially: Ethernet, Legacy buses: CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, FlexRay, Routing, gateway and network architecture concepts
  • Strong experience in testing and validation of communication protocols and distributed vehicle systems
  • Strong knowledge of testing methods and environments (HiL, SiL)
  • Experience with logging, tracing and measurement systems
  • Hands-on experience with automotive testing and analysis tools (e.g. Wireshark, PCAP analysis)
  • General understanding of E/E architectures and zonal architectures
  • Ability to estimate effort and perform resource and capacity planning for testing projects
  • Proven experience in technical and disciplinary team leadership
  • Excellent communication skills with customers, project managers and management
  • Structured, solution-oriented working style with high ownershipAbility to professionally manage technical and organizational escalations
  • Excellent English skills (spoken and written)
  • Good German skills (spoken and written)

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of AUTOSAR (Classic / Adaptive), SOME/IP, DoIP is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of in-vehicle network security (e.g. MACsec, IPsec, TLS) is beneficial

Contract type:

Employment contract for an indefinite period with a trial period

Working time:

full-time employment (40h / week) or partial-time possible

Business time:

flexible (core time 10:00 – 15:00)

Holidays:

30 days/year

Gross salary:
70,000 – 90,000 Euro Gross / Year (depending on skills and experience)
