For our client in the automotive engineering sector, we are looking for an experienced Group Leader Automotive Networks (m/f/d) to lead an international testing team focused on in-vehicle communication networks and distributed systems validation.
Your responsibilities
- Technical and disciplinary leadership of an international team in Automotive Networks Testing & Validation
- Responsibility for projects related to Ethernet-based in-vehicle networks and legacy bus systems (CAN, LIN, FlexRay)
- Ensuring quality and on-time delivery of testing and validation activities for global OEM and Tier-1 projects
- Close collaboration with system engineering, architecture, platform testing and security teams to ensure end-to-end communication integrity
- Resource and capacity planning as well as skill development of the team
- Coaching and mentoring team members in technical and methodological competencies
- Support in proposal phases (RfI/RfQ) including effort estimation, technical concepts and team setup planning
- Escalation management for technical and organizational challenges in customer projects
- Ensuring compliance with quality standards, processes and KPIs in testing and validation
Your profile
Professional / Technical skills
- Several years of experience in automotive networks, especially: Ethernet, Legacy buses: CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, FlexRay, Routing, gateway and network architecture concepts
- Strong experience in testing and validation of communication protocols and distributed vehicle systems
- Strong knowledge of testing methods and environments (HiL, SiL)
- Experience with logging, tracing and measurement systems
- Hands-on experience with automotive testing and analysis tools (e.g. Wireshark, PCAP analysis)
- General understanding of E/E architectures and zonal architectures
- Ability to estimate effort and perform resource and capacity planning for testing projects
- Proven experience in technical and disciplinary team leadership
- Excellent communication skills with customers, project managers and management
- Structured, solution-oriented working style with high ownershipAbility to professionally manage technical and organizational escalations
- Excellent English skills (spoken and written)
- Good German skills (spoken and written)
Nice to have
- Knowledge of AUTOSAR (Classic / Adaptive), SOME/IP, DoIP is a plus
- Basic knowledge of in-vehicle network security (e.g. MACsec, IPsec, TLS) is beneficial
