About the Role
We are looking for an HiL Test Engineer to join our team in Ingolstadt. In this role, you will be responsible for the HiL infrastructure within a large-scale testing project. You will work closely with the OEM, either on-site or from our company office.
Your Responsibilities
- Setup, expansion, and commissioning of test systems, ECUs, and measurement equipment, including updates and configuration
- Maintenance, upgrades, and reconfiguration of test systems (HiL systems, test benches)
- Optimization and further development of the test infrastructure
- Flashing and configuring ECUs in preparation for validation
- Execution of HiL tests and analysis of test results
- Troubleshooting infrastructure-related issues, including creation and revision of defect tickets
- Working within a Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) environment
- Collaboration with other engineers and specialist departments
- Support of the test automation team both remotely and on-site
Your Profile
- Completed degree or technical qualification in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable educational background
- Experience in developing and executing test cases on HiL platforms, particularly dSPACE and Vector
- Solid experience with bus systems: Ethernet, CAN, LIN, FlexRay
- Proficiency in scripting test cases (e.g. Python, Groovy)
- Familiarity with test automation frameworks/tools: Vector, CAPL, EXAM, dSPACE ControlDesk
- Strong knowledge of measurement equipment (e.g. TTTech data loggers, oscilloscopes) and analysis tools: CANoe, Analyzer, CANape, INCA, ODIS, IDEX
- ISTQB Foundation Level certification
- Strong analytical thinking and structured working approach
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across different teams
- Proficiency in both English and German is required
- Experience in the automotive industry is desirable
