We are currently looking for an Automotive Engineer – Smart & Keyless Vehicle Access to support an innovative automotive engineering environment in Munich.
In this role, you will act as a technical interface between customers, partners, and internal development teams, taking responsibility for integration activities related to digital key and vehicle access systems. You will support onboarding, develop integration concepts, and coordinate technical topics across stakeholders while ensuring smooth implementation and high quality standards.
This position offers the opportunity to work on advanced vehicle access technologies, including Digital Key solutions, and collaborate with international engineering teams and leading players within the automotive ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Act as a technical interface between customers, partners, and internal development teams
- Conduct technical onboarding & enablement (workshops, trainings, best practices)
- Develop integration concepts (architecture, interfaces, data & security flows)
- Support PoCs and pilot projects until production readiness (risk & issue management)
- Perform hands-on troubleshooting (log analysis, error reproduction, solution definition)
- Create and maintain technical documentation (integration guides, runbooks, FAQs, reference architectures)
- Moderate technical meetings with stakeholders (engineering, product, QA, security, customers)
- Ensure consistent technical communication across all involved parties
Requirements
- Strong experience with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet)
- Experience in vehicle access / digital key systems or system architecture (nice to have)
- Background in ECU development lifecycle (software or hardware)
- Experience working with OEMs and certification processes (e.g. CCC, FIRA) is a plus
- Knowledge of test automation (Python, CAPL, C++, Robot Framework) is an advantage
- Basic understanding of security topics (key management, provisioning)
- Very good English skills (German is a plus)
- Strong communication skills and customer-oriented mindset
- Structured, proactive way of working with ownership
- Willingness to travel for customer projects
